Chérif Khaznadar is a theatre director, writer, consultant, and the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Al Ain Center for Music in the World of Islam.

He has a wide-ranging experience in organising and managing large-scale artistic events.

He directed the Opera of Rennes (1978-1983) and the Théâtre du Rond-Point des Champs Elysées in Paris (1992-1995).

He also created and directed The Institute for World Cultures in Paris (1982-2007) and Le Festival de l'Imaginaire in Paris (1997-2007), among others.

He was the artistic director of two major musical events in Morocco: the Festival "Mawazine" in Rabat, and the Festival of Sacred Music in Fes.
