is a PhD candidate in ethnomusicology based in Xingjian, China. In her doctoral reasearch, she focuses on the musical culture of her native people, the Uigurs, in the Xingjian province, northwest of China. In Europe, she is known for having put together an impressive presentation of the "Dolan's Maqam". Ms Mijiti is currently tasked with the collection of lullabies and children songs for the Al Ain Center's survey project.
