To start off, I’m Maha Al Yafei, fourth place among my siblings, 22 years old. I graduate from el Qadesiya high school. Currently, studying business Information Technology at ADWC. I discovered my passion in art when I was just 11 years old starting off by drawing cartoon characters I used to watch on television. I tried to improve my drawing by joining many institutions however I didn’t find what I really need to develop for this talent so I stopped drawing for long time. 7 years to be exact.
When I entered college my first choice was to study media so I can express my feeling of art but for personal issues I had to change my choice and I studied Information Technology majored in Software Engineering for my HD degree and Business Information Technology for my bachelor degree. I kept drawing as a hobby and tried to register to oil-painting classes provided by the college as leisure time activity. Unfortunately, for two years the classes were full. While I was on work placement which was a really boring job and place, I remembered my hobby so I went back to drawing in order to pass the time. This year I registered in the oil-painting class and my talent was back sure.
Indeed, I didn’t stop at that point I tried to complete and improve it so I registered in painting classes at the college. Also, participated in Jalal trip which I heard of during painting classes. Jalal trip is one of those rare trips where everything goes well and fun is an inseparable part of learning. It taught me how to look at things through more than one perspective. What made the trip more superior is the fact that the group I took the trip with was understanding and very open to new ideas. It’s one of the most amazing and unforgettable trips I’ve ever been on.
